Computer Server Recycling
We provide a secure computer server recycling service for the collection, transport and recycling of obsolete data centre equipment, including any data bearing media- (e.g. raid arrays, tape storage libraries etc). We can decommission entire racks, removing servers and any associated support equipment including network hardware. Backed by personnel with qualifications in waste management, and IT and logistics.
Computer Networking Recycling
MiTrade operates a full end to end computer networking recycling process for any equipment or Telecoms Hardware. Our disposal process recycles all networking and telecoms hardware, recovering constituent components and materials for re-use in manufacturing industries.
Computer Base Unit Recycling
The service is backed by extensive experience and is the choice of many blue chip and SME clients. Our processes include segregation and destruction within 24 hours of receipt and issuing of full certification at the end of the contract. Adhering to the principles of the Waste Hierarchy, we’ll try and re-use as many base units as possible. However, we realise that the majority of PCs are obsolete or beyond re-use and in such instances, we will recover all materials contained in the base unit.
Computer Monitor Recycling
As part of our main business computer recycling services we’ve implemented a Best Available Treatment process for both CRT and TFT monitors, meeting with BATTRT (Sector specific guidance, produced by DEFRA). This process defines how we deal with computer monitors, including methods used in their repair and refurbishment and to what extent we physically dismantle them before they stop being a Monitor (i.e. changing the physical nature of the waste product).
Computer Printing Recycling
Our service collects, transports and recycles all equipment in-house, issuing both Controlled waste and Hazardous Waste consignment notes at the point of collection. We operate a Waste Management Facility, licensed for the complete disassembly and segregation of wastes into their constituent components. Our service recovers OEM toners for reconditioning by charitable organisations, fluorescent tubes for remanufacture to the highest possible standards and recovery of all recyclable materials for re-use in the manufacturing industry.
Computer Cabling Recycling
All computer cables are sorted and graded and then prepared for either resale, donation or full recycling. A large percentage of cables are re-used wherever possible to reduce the impact on the environment. Where cables of any form are found to require recycling, they are melted down into component form and metals extracted for re-use. The result is a reduction in the need for copper extraction from existing dwindling resources around the world. Waste cables are re-processed by hand prior to refining via one of our partners.
